| Q-217 Mastomeric maintains its elasticity and splice integrity when subjected to severe ultraviolet rays, thermal shock, puddling water, and extreme high and low temperatures. It has no elastic memory, so it will remain exactly where it is placed and will not creep. A highly desirable feature for this product is that it cannot be stretched in the uncoiling directions, but can be easily formed using your fingers, a blunt awl or a plastic knife. This feature allows the technician to line up the two adjoining areas to be sealed, with the silicone backed release paper still attached, then start removing the perforated release liner from the underside and placing the membrane close to the desired position. After the above operation, the mastomeric can be repositioned and worked to cover all cracks and crevices. |
